remember when you were going to change the world?

Today I had the joy of having dinner with a longtime friend โ€” a true kindred spirit. Although we hadnโ€™t seen each other face-to-face in years, our connection has always lived beyond time. It was forged in a sacred season of life that shaped us both, and it never faded. It just waited patiently for us to meet again.

Seeing her felt like coming home. She looks exactly the same โ€” radiant on the outside and even more luminous on the inside. What made our time so special was the encouragement, the honesty, the soul-level fellowship. No small talk. No pretense. Just truth rising to the surface because thatโ€™s how weโ€™ve always rolled.

As we talked, we realized something beautiful:
Our journeys have been running parallel in ways only God could orchestrate. Weโ€™ve been through fire. Weโ€™ve walked through darkness, held onto hope, rebuilt ourselves, and here we are โ€” standing, steady, and still insisting on joy, purpose, and authenticity.

Deep calls unto deep as old memories, sacred callings, and long-held dreams rise back up. Time feels suspended as I remember whenโ€ฆ

And so I share this with you too:
May you remember the dreams, callings, and hopes you once held โ€” the ones you thought you outgrew, forgot, or forfeited. They are still alive.

Today is the due date of yesteryear.
