that’s why we pray

Yesterday, we reclaimed the pen of our own story remembering that ultimately our narrative belongs to us and is God given.

And ownership of your story goes lock step with prayer— the sacred practice that lifts your story and places it in God’s care.

Prayer isn’t just a ritual or a moment of quiet reflection. It’s the channel through which your voice can meet divine guidance, a restless heart finds alignment, and fears and hopes are held by a power far greater than any circumstance.

When you pray, you are not pretending that life is perfect.

You are not ignoring the hard parts of your story.

You are acknowledging your truth and inviting God to meet you there — in the midst of unfinished chapters, unhealed spaces, and places that feel raw and tender.

Prayer is both intimate and transformative.

It teaches: Patience when answers are delayed Courage when the burdens feels heavy and Insight when the next step seems impossible

And prayer doesn’t just change what happens externally; it changes you.

It rewires your perspective, softens your heart, and steadies your spirit.

Through prayer, the spaces where you do have influence become clear.
And the parts of the story you cannot control can be gently entrusted to a higher power.

Because there are moments when all we can do is our very best—
and then trust God to do the rest.

As you step into your day, remember: Prayer is a dialogue, not a monologue.

It’s listening as much as it is speaking. Sometimes it’s more surrender and less asking.

Because prayer is not always a shield from hardship, but it is a steady anchor in the storm.

Reflections for Day 11:

  • How can I invite God into the chapters I feel uncertain about?

  • Where in my story do I need guidance, courage, or clarity today?

  • Am I speaking my truth and listening for God’s wisdom in return?

Prayer for Day 11:
God, thank You for holding my story — the written and unwritten parts alike. Help me lift my fears, hopes, and decisions to You. Guide my steps, steady my heart, and illuminate the path that aligns with Your purpose. Let my story be a reflection of your grace, wisdom, and love. Amen.

ps. Some prayers aren’t answered with words; they’re answered with transitions, so tomorrow we’ll reflect on endings, beginnings, and the courage to let what no longer serves fall away so that something more beautiful and true can emerge.

Meet me there.
